3. What is your favorite dessert?
My mom’s chocolate pudding cake is one of my favorite things on this earth.
4. Is there one apostle’s addresses at conference that you always enjoy most (AKA a fave)?
This is so hard. I think my top 10 talks probably all come from different apostles. I love all of the first presidency, especially President Uchtdorf who always seems to be speaking straight to me. Elders Bednar,
5. Where is your favorite restaurant in Provo ?
Tucano’s, CafĂ© Rio, Yogurtland, JDawgs
6. Love the Utes or Hate em? (apathy is ok too)
Not my faves, but I’ve gotten past my wanting to egg their car phase
7. What is your ideal date night?
Getting just a little dressed up and going to dinner, then exploring or going someplace new, then coming home to cuddle in our sweats and watch an episode of Psych.
8. Books or movies?
Books are always better, but its fun to watch the movies to see how my interpretation is different from the director’s
9. Where do you see yourself in five years?
My husband will be pretty fresh out of law school, so we’ll be living the frugal life to pay off law school debts, hopefully with a kid or two. Oh, the glamorous life. We would love to be near either of our families, but we will take a good job wherever we can find it.
First Counselor: Jennie Brown
1. How long have you been married? How did you and your husband meet?
Jason and I have been married for just over a year. Our kindergarten picture shows that we met in Mrs. Jensen’s class at the tender age of 5, but neither of us remember it.
2. Are you currently a student, working, or both? Where at?
I’m finishing up my last semester in BYU’s Film program, and working as a Producer with the HBLL’s Multimedia Unit.
3. What is your favorite dessert?
I can’t get enough of mint brownies. And I don’t know if I like making pie or eating pie more, but I also really like pie.
4. Is there one apostle’s addresses at conference that you always enjoy most (AKA a fave)?
I always look forward to Elder Scott’s talks. And who’s not in love with President Uchtdorf?
5. Where is your favorite restaurant in Provo ?
Guru’s. Or Station 22.
6. Love the Utes or Hate em? (apathy is ok too)
I come from a split family (half-utes, half-cougs), so I tend to get a little defensive. (But truth be known, those utes aren’t all bad.)
7. What is your ideal date night?
I’m not sure. But it probably involves finger painting, a dance concert, or Mexican food. And if it’s June, the Sidewalk Chalk festival.
8. Books or movies?
Yes, please.
9. Where do you see yourself in five years?
Trying to make Jason finish grad school, carting around a baby or two, and still making documentaries.
Second Counselor: Amy Petersen
1. How long have you been married? How did you and your husband meet?
Brandon & I have been married for just a little over 7 months. We were married on June 17th, 2011- a perfect day! Brandon and I met in a singles ward here at BYU. We were both new to the ward and met the first Sunday playing games.
2. Are you currently a student, working, or both? Where at?
I am currently a student at BYU working on my bachelor’s degree in Clinical Laboratory Science. I am also working part time at the BYU Bookstore on campus.
3. What is your favorite dessert?
Ice Cream!!! I love just plain vanilla bean with lots of fruit on top! Delicious!
4. Is there one apostle’s addresses at conference that you always enjoy most (AKA a fave)?
Well I love President Uchtdorf’s talks; he always has something to say that I need to hear at that specific moment in time. My favorite talk of his currently is his “Forget me not” talk from this last Relief Society Broadcast. I also love all of Elder Holland’s talks. Once again, the way he delivers his talks is so moving to me. It’s not only that the material he’s sharing is amazing, it’s that his facial expressions are also so moving. He doesn’t even need to say a word for me to feel his strong testimony of our Savior, Jesus Christ, and the truthfulness of this gospel.
5. Where is your favorite restaurant in Provo ?
We don’t really eat out a lot, but recently we ate at Sammy’s and that was delicious! So currently that’s the fave.
6. Love the Utes or Hate em? (apathy is ok too)
Hate! No, I’m kidding… I grew up in the Salt Lake Valley though so it was either that you were a BYU fan or a Ute fan. The U’s ok in my book, but I bleed blue.
7. What is your ideal date night?
My ideal date would include some fun outdoorsy activity, maybe a really pretty hike up a canyon or river rafting. Then I’d like to spend the night sitting around a campfire cooking s’mores and looking at a starry night sky.
8. Books or movies?
Books. I’ve always loved to read. I didn’t really even watch that many movies until I dated Brandon. We still don’t watch a lot of movies, and are way behind in watching what’s currently been released, but we can enjoy a good movie here and there. We’ve discovered that we love to read together though, so that’s been fun. We’ve been recently reading the Hunger Games books together, and we’re excited for that movie too!
9. Where do you see yourself in five years?
Still happily married to my sweetheart, and probably the mother to at least two little cuties!

*Does anyone else notice a pattern here? Let's all say it together, "My name is ____ _____ and I am addicted to Presient Uchtdorf's talks." I mean we all have our own reasons. It might be the way he can relate to and understand women perfectly, it might be his throaty German accent, it could even be the striking silver hair. Let's face it. We HAVE a problem. All problems aside that was fun! Thanks to the presidency for their willingness to answer silly questions and share their answers with all of us!
This blog is so darling! And the presidency, you are all amazing so amazing. Thanks for letting us take a peek into your lives.
ReplyDeleteHa ha ha! I thought others might choose Pres. Uchtdorf, too. :) Great job putting this together, Trisha!
